Mackie's Cheese Bombs

Cheese & crisps are two of our favourite things to eat, so we've combined them to make these savoury party snacks - perfect for New years nibbles!

Mackie's Cheese Bombs

375g grated cheddar cheese
90g semolina
1 beaten egg (for combining)
1 tablespoon mixed chives and parsley (chopped)
Black pepper to season
1 beaten egg (for coating)
1 packet of Mackie’s Turkey & Haggis Stuffing crisps (crushed)

Mix together the cheese & semolina, then add 1 of the beaten eggs as well as the herbs & black pepper and combine thoroughly.

Roll the mixture into little bitesize spheres, dip these in the other beaten egg and then roll them in the crushed crisps until they're completely coated.

Place them on a tray lined with baking paper and put them in the oven at 180c for 15-20 minutes until crisp & golden.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving hot - they taste great dipped in salsa or pesto.

These can be made ready to cook on the day before they're needed - a fantastic get-ahead party snack!
